The block for sale above at $560,000 is way off in the old back blocks amongst some of the original old beach houses. Where does the money come from?  – this place is amazing and I love it but we’ve moved on.

We found the place we could afford though but it’s standing room only ……..PICT0860

Gnomesville – about 30 K out of  Bunbury, started with a  protest by placing some gnomes at a road work site that the locals objected to. Its grown to a community of thousands over the last 10 or so years even though the roadworks were completed. You’ve gotta love it -it’s fantastic and weird. These shots only hint at the magnitude of the show but I think there’s still space for us.

By the bye – thanks everyone for the Birthday Wishes. A solemn reminder of the ageing experience – you all got a year older.

  4. wow! those gnomes would be really creepy if you were walking the streets at night.
I’m also really jealous of those houses!
one of them has a luxury boat!

    1. If they didn’t have a boat out front it was almost surely parked in the marina cos that was full of big boats – hundreds of them.

      How’s footy this year?

  5. Great to hear that you enjoyed Mandurah. The holiday shack for sale was Mandurah many years ago.

We were surprised to see our photo singing our hearts out, thanks for including us in your holiday. We really enjoyed your company on both evenings in Bunbury, hope we will catch up with you both once again.

    With best wishes always

    Cheers

    1. Hi Marie

got your email as well. We did stay in Mandurah, haven’t made Rockingham yet but should be in Perth next week and will catch up with our other fellow travellers then. We were really surprised at the development and costs in Mandurah.

We had a great couple of nights in Bunbury with you two.

      Hope Bali is good.
